Eklutna Water & Waste Water and Solid Waste Project, Anchorage

Project Consists of development Eklutna Water Project transmission pipeline segment and waste water improvements. The project will supply the city with 170 mgd raw water from Ekultna Lake which is about 30 mile north west of anchorage and will supply the greater anchorage Bowel Area with drinking water through the year 2030. The project will also provide enough capacity for waste water treatment and collection also upto year 2030. Also the improvement to existing sanitation system. Project also involves Clean Development Mechanism which will be developed the contractor / concessionaire consultant has to review this. The Client will Provide digital satellite imageries for the project influence area.

Water Wastewater Solid Waste and Transportation Management Plan & Implementation Project, South Western Washington
Country

Consortium made of consultant provided feasibility study, economic / financial analysis, and design / drawings. Privatization bid evaluations, instruction management and supervision for water supply, waste water, solid waste and transportation systems. The final product is produce master plan, facilities plan and EIS in a comprehensive documents water supply system to revamp the existing water supply system which is deficient in supply the present day demand and replace it with a brand new system to meet demand for next 20 years. Waste water potion of the project also is to develop new treatment plants as the existing system is being beyond its capacity and untreated waste water is being discharged in to major water bodies. The new systems have to be developed to meet next 20 years load. Project also involves Clean Development Mechanism which will be developed the contractor / concessionaire consultant has to review this. New landfill sites have to be developed because the existing sites are running out of room. Traffic studies to be conducted and necessary changes to be suggested. Project needs to be developed for privatization. Consultant Also Suggest Improvement to the existing sanitation system. The Client will Provide digital satellite imageries for the project influence area.

Snoqualmie Master Planning and City Development Project

The project was to prepare complete mater plan and city development plan for the city of Snoqualmie including four new development of two housing, one commercial and one industrial developments which amounting to about 1900 Acres. It also included developing designs drawings and providing construction supervision services for roads, water system, sewerage system, solid waste, storm drainage waste water treatment plant and water treatment plant for the new developments and improvement of the existing city systems for all infrastructures. Project also involves Clean Development Mechanism which will be developed the contractor, consultant has to review this. Environmental Impact Statement need to be developed and Environmental management plan for mitigation of the environmental impacts. The Client will Provide digital satellite imageries for the project influence area.

• Performed topographic and hydrographic surveys.
• Obtained GIS map of the city and surrounding area and updated the maps to include the physical features    missing on the GIS maps. Also marked boundaries of the development and developed the final base maps    of the entire project area to start master planning and designs for all developments.
• Identification and documentation of all infrastructure in the existing city and new developments including    roads, water systems, solid waste, sewerage system, Public Toilets , Sanitation and solid waste.

Study of Performance & Status of rural Township Water Supply Schemes including Estimation of Unaccounted for water of Group I of counties in State of Washington

It was one of the largest study on such subject in the State of Washington. There are about 900 rural Township spread over 25 countries of Puget Sound provided with piped water supply & hand pump sources. The source of water supply is Ground water as well as surface water. The pipe water supplies are 2 to 30 years old. The hand pumps installation was started in early nineties. The status of these schemes and hand pumps were not satisfactory. Most of these were supplying water which was not as per prescribed standard. Hence this study was conducted for evaluating performance & status of the schemes, and to suggest measures for further ACTION PLAN.

MSV was responsible for providing complete study, evaluation of problem & remedial measures and preparation of action plan based on conjunctive use of water, proposing treatment technologies to maintain water quality and estimation of financial implication involved which is detailed out as under -

Field Visit & Data Collection – Visit to each & every source of existing water supply under operation & maintenance, collection of details of water supply schemes with rural Townships & hamlets covered, population covered, requirement of water as per specification, details of source with their discharge or yield monthly & seasonal variation in discharge, interval of supply, supply position at farthest end in respect of water quality and residual pressure at that end, quantity of water received at different nodes, number of connections metered or unmetered, status of meter, position & status of pumping plant, chlorination units, pipeline, valves etc.

Verification & Formatting Data- Certain data is available in concerned offices, records & internet, consultant verified these data’s from field visits to ensure the accuracy of available data. MSV also developed separate formats for each activity. The Job included collection of data from regional and area offices & other concerned offices.

The Project was to prepared city development plan for a major housing and commercial development in the lake Sammamish Plateau in an area of 200 Acres. Consultant is to conduct topographic surveys, traffic surveys, master plans, area development plans including location of various housing options, commercial establishments, building design, sewerage design, drainage design, water supply design, sanitation, solid waste, landfill and CDM realization electric design, roadway design, bridge design, bill of quantities and cost estimates, prepare pre-qualification documents for the developers/contractors, prepare the project for privatization award contracts and project implementation assure that developers are adhering to terms of the agreement, perform construction supervision and quality control, approve contractor’s safety measures, issue completion certificates. Project also involves Clean Development Mechanism which will be developed the contractor, consultant has to review this. The Client will Provide digital satellite imageries for the project influence area.
