Changlang-Khonsa Highway Project (NH 52B), Arunachal Pradesh, INDIA

MSV served as Independent Engineer/Authority Engineer for the upgradation of the Changlang-Khonsa section of NH 52B in Arunachal Pradesh under the SARDP-NE programme.

Covering approximately 42.844 km, this vital corridor links the district headquarters of Changlang with Khonsa, significantly strengthening regional mobility, trade flow and socio-economic development in the northeastern region. The project focused on enhancing travel safety, improving road capacity and ensuring reliable connectivity in one of India’s most strategically important border states.

As the Independent Engineer, MSV delivered complete design review and validation, supervised construction progress, ensured strict QA/QC standards, monitored safety and environmental compliance and certified key milestones. This comprehensive oversight ensured the highway adhered to IRC/MoRTH standards and resulted in a durable, future-ready infrastructure asset.

The upgraded highway improves travel capacity, safety and reliability while enhancing regional mobility and economic integration. It strengthens connectivity for local communities, facilitates smoother freight and passenger movement and supports strategic access in this sensitive region. As a critical East–West link in southeastern Arunachal Pradesh, the corridor boosts trade, tourism, defense movement and long-term socio-economic growth. The improved roadway significantly reduces travel time, enhances safety and contributes to sustained development across the region.
