Project Description
MSV International Inc. is engaged to provide Construction Supervision Consultancy Services for Package CSC-05 under the Chennai–Kanyakumari Industrial Corridor Project (CKICP) in the state of Tamil Nadu. The project involves upgradation and improvement of selected road corridors forming part of the industrial corridor network, aimed at enhancing connectivity, capacity and safety of roads supporting industrial and economic growth in the state.

The project is designed to strengthen road infrastructure linking industrial clusters, ports, logistics hubs and urban centres, facilitating efficient movement of goods and passengers across Tamil Nadu.

MSV’s Role
MSV acts as the Construction Supervision Consultant, representing the Client and the funding agency, and provides independent technical and contractual oversight to ensure that the road upgradation works are executed in accordance with approved designs, contract provisions, ADB guidelines and applicable national standards.

Scope of Services
MSV’s scope includes review and approval of engineering drawings and construction methodologies; supervision of road, pavement, junction improvement, drainage, structures and road safety works; monitoring of construction quality, materials and workmanship; enforcement of environmental, social and safety safeguard compliance in line with ADB requirements; monitoring of construction progress and milestones; certification of measurements and contractor payments; evaluation of variations and time extension proposals; review of Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) plans; and coordination with the CKICP Project Directorate, contractors and utility agencies for effective project implementation.

Project Importance and Impact
The CKICP road upgradation project plays a critical role in strengthening industrial corridor connectivity in Tamil Nadu, enabling faster, safer and more reliable movement of raw materials, finished goods and workforce. Improved road infrastructure reduces logistics costs, enhances road safety, and improves access to ports, industrial estates and urban markets.

Aligned with the objectives of the Asian Development Bank and the Government of Tamil Nadu, the project supports industrial development, regional economic integration and sustainable infrastructure growth under the Chennai–Kanyakumari Industrial Corridor initiative.
