Delhi-Amritsar-Katra (DAK) Expressway, INDIA

MSV International Inc. is serving as the Independent Engineer (IE) for a 78.3 kmstretch of the Access-Controlled 6-Lane Greenfield Delhi-Amritsar-Katra (DAK)Expressway, being developed on EPC mode under the prestigious BharatmalaPariyojna. As one of Northern India’s most important greenfield corridors, the DAKExpressway is designed to provide seamless high-speed connectivity between Delhi,Amritsar and Katra, significantly reducing travel time while strengthening regionaldevelopment, logistics efficiency and pilgrimage movement. MSV’s role includesdesign review, construction methodology approval, quality assurance, continuousfield supervision, monitoring of progress and safety, verification of compliance withIRC, MoRTH and environmental standards and certification of key milestones whilecoordinating among stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.

The project stands out as a future-ready, access-controlled mobility corridor equipped with advanced safety features, grade-separated interchanges and optimized geometric design that enable high-speed travel across states. It plays a strategic role in connecting the National Capital Region with major cultural, economic and religious destinations, offering a significant boost to pilgrimage routes such as Amritsar’s Golden Temple and Katra’s Vaishno Devi Shrine.

The expressway is set to transform connectivity across Northern India by easing congestion on existing national highways, reducing logistics costs and encouraging industrial growth along the corridor. It will enhance passenger comfort, improve freight distribution efficiency, and stimulate tourism and regional development in Delhi, Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir-creating a powerful socio-economic uplift for millions of people across the region.

The expressway is expected to reduce the travel time between Delhi and Katra from 12 hours to 6 hours.
