Independent Engineer for Ganga Expressway
One of the key USPs of the Ganga Expressway is the provision of a 3.5 km-long emergency landing strip capable of accommodating Indian Air Force aircraft.
MSV International Inc. is serving as the Independent Engineer for Group II, covering approximately 151.7 km (Km 137+600 to Km 289+300) of the 594 km Ganga Expressway between Meerut and Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh. Appointed by the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA), this stretch forms part of a six-lane, access-controlled greenfield expressway, designed to be expandable to eight lanes and implemented under the DBFOT (Toll) PPP model.
As the Independent Engineer, MSV’s scope encompasses independent review of designs and drawings, supervision and monitoring of construction activities, quality assurance and quality control and oversight of safety and environmental compliance. MSV is responsible for ensuring that this 151.7 km section is executed strictly in accordance with approved technical specifications, safety standards and performance benchmarks, thereby safeguarding project quality and timely delivery.
Among the longest expressways in India, it is designed for a maximum driving speed of 120 km per hour. With its access-controlled configuration, future expansion capability and high-speed connectivity, the expressway is expected to reduce travel time between Meerut and Prayagraj by 6–8 hours, strengthen logistics and trade, improve road safety and act as a major catalyst for economic and industrial development across Uttar Pradesh.
Significantly enhancing strategic and national security preparedness. It’s one among the three largest expressways in India. Running along the River Ganga. It would reduce travel time between Prayagraj and Varanasi from 12 hours to just 4 hours.
