KSTP-II – Construction Supervision Consultancy Services for Upgradation Work of Ponkunnam-Thodupuzha State Highway (SH-8) in the State of Kerala (Package-VI),Length-50kms. Kerala, Funded by World Bank

The Government of Kerala has proposed Kerala State Transport Project-II (KSTP-II) to improve state highways and MDR’s under up gradation. Government of Kerala through Government of India has obtained a loan from the international Bank for Reconstruction and Development as financial assistance for the construction cost of the KSTP-II. The project pertains to upgradation of

Ponkunnam-Thodupuzha State Highway in a length of 50 km under contract Package KSTP-II/UG6 with completion period of 30 months. The works involve improving existing State Highways including geometric improvements and realignments to standard 2-lane of 7m carriageway 1.5m paved shoulders and 1.5m slow lanes or soft shoulders and generally wider construction in built up areas including median separated dual carriageways. The project is covered under package VI and consultants has been appointed as supervision consultant in accordance with international competitive bidding process under IBRD guidelines January 2011.
