Project Management Services for the construction of the Ginigera (GIN) – Raichur (RC) New Broad Gauge Line, South-Western Railway, Huballi Division
Project Description:
MSV has commenced Project Management Services for the construction of the Ginigera (GIN) – Raichur (RC) New Broad Gauge Railway Line Project under South Western Railway, Hubballi Division. The project involves construction of a new BG railway line between Sindhanur (Excl.) and Mamdapur (Incl.), including comprehensive Signalling, Telecommunication, and Electrical works, executed on EPC mode.
The project corridor forms part of the Munirabad (Ginigera) – Sindhanur – Raichur route and has a total length of 165.57 km. The sanctioned project cost is approximately ₹3,402 Crore, jointly funded in a 50:50 cost-sharing arrangement between Indian Railways and the Government of Karnataka.
MSV’s Role:
MSV is providing end-to-end Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services, including project planning, review of EPC designs and drawings, monitoring construction progress, quality assurance, safety management, coordination with EPC contractors and railway authorities, review of signalling, telecom, and electrical works, certification support, and contract administration to ensure timely and compliant execution of the project.
Project Importance & Impact:
The project establishes a shorter and strategically significant rail corridor connecting the Kalyana Karnataka region with Telangana via Raichur. It enhances passenger and freight movement across agriculturally rich regions such as Raichur, Sindhanur, and Koppal, improves logistics efficiency, and reduces travel time. The new line also helps decongest existing saturated rail routes and supports balanced regional development by strengthening rail connectivity, trade, and economic growth in the region.
