This project involved Third Party Evaluation, Quality Assurance, and Technical Monitoring of civil works undertaken for the construction of 174 Additional Classrooms (ACRs) across 27 Government Schools in Delhi under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) program. The works were distributed across multiple districts including North West, West, South West, and South Delhi.
The assignment covered inspection and verification at all stages of construction — from foundation and plinth level to superstructure, roofing, finishing, and safety compliance. The consultancy ensured adherence to BIS standards, approved specifications, and construction best practices to deliver safe and durable educational infrastructure.
In addition to construction quality, the project also emphasized school safety audits, disaster preparedness and risk assessment to enhance the resilience of school buildings against earthquakes, floods, fire hazards and structural risks. The project improved the lives of thousands of students by ensuring safe, durable, and well-built classrooms, reducing risks from poor construction and overcrowding. Enhanced infrastructure and safety measures created a more secure and supportive learning environment, encouraging better attendance and educational outcomes. Ultimately, it strengthened community trust in public schooling while safeguarding children’s daily learning spaces.
