Project Description:
MSV has been awarded the assignment for the Urban Resilience & Livability Improvement Project (ULRIP) in Janakpur Sub-Metropolitan City, Nepal. The project focuses on upgrading and strengthening core urban infrastructure to enhance resilience, livability, and heritage value in one of Nepal’s important historic cities.

Under this engagement, MSV is providing services as the Supervision and Design Consultant (SDC) for key urban development works, including improvement of urban roads, drainage systems, footpaths, road furniture, and revitalization of heritage and cultural assets.

MSV’s Role:
As Supervision and Design Consultant, MSV is responsible for preparation and review of designs, supervision of construction works, quality assurance and quality control, contract administration, safety and environmental compliance, coordination with contractors and stakeholders, and ensuring adherence to project objectives related to resilience, sustainability, and urban livability.

Project Importance & Impact:
The project contributes to improving urban mobility, flood resilience, public safety, and overall quality of life in Janakpur. By integrating modern infrastructure solutions with conservation of heritage and cultural assets, the project supports sustainable urban transformation while preserving the city’s historic identity. The initiative strengthens institutional capacity and sets a benchmark for people-centric and climate-resilient urban development in Nepal.
