Consultancy Services for Repaving of Runways, Taxiways and Aprons at Bellingham International Airport, USA

Description of project
The Airport used to serve smaller commuter airplanes with flights to cities in Washington and nearby states in Canada, because of the demand of using airport for large aircraft up to Boeing 757, repaving project was taken up, also signification expansion of commercial terminal building.

Description of Actual Services provided
Collected, reviewed and analyzed existing data and reports. Performed geotechnical investigation, pavement condition surveys, topographical surveys; developed feasibility study and design of pavement and terminal building expansion structural, electrical, mechanical; prepared bidding documents; invitation and evaluation of tenders and provided.

Provided complete construction management, supervision, quality control and airports safety services. The work included checking and approval of construction drawing prepared by contractor; job mix design; review and approved contractor’s quality control plan, safety plan, and work man ship. Supervise construction of all elements and assure adherence to contract documents; development any needed variation; performed needed test for quality control; setting up of concrete batching plan, transporting, laying and compacting concrete; interpret contract document; monitored progress of work and suggest mitigation measures to avoid delays; prepare as-built drawings; issue completion certificate, processed payments and advise client in dispute resolutions.
