A multimillion-Rupee fast track Design/Construction supervision Project for Conversion of Delhi Gurgaon Section Of NH-8 into a Access Controlled Eight/Six Lane Expressway with service lanes along certain sections and strengthening and widening of the existing lanes from Km 14.30 to Km 42.00 falling partly in Delhi and partly in Haryana. The project stretch has 8 flyovers with an aggregate length of approx. 8.4 km including the approaches. The project is developed on a build, operate and transfer basis and the Concessionaire for the project is Jaypee DSC Ventures Limited working

for the National Highways Authority of India. One of the challenges on the project is the tight schedule; the project is to be completed in 24 months with 6 months for design and 18 months for construction. The other challenge is unimpeded flow of traffic during construction. Many VIP’s travel the route so the security measures have to be in place throughout the construction period.
