Construction Supervision Services for Widening and Strengthening of Mysore-Bantwal State Highway-88, from Mysore to Kushalnager, Length 86 kms., Construction Cost US$ 22.06 Million, Karnataka, India

The existing roadway section consists of carriageway varying in width from 3m to 7m with unpaved shoulder varying in width from 0.5m to 1m width on both sides of the carriageway. The new roadway is flexible and rigid pavement. The new roadway will be 4-laning for 30 Km & 56.66 Km will be 2-lane and will have a carriageway width of 7.25m with a 2.5m wide paved shoulder and 1.0 wide

unpaved shoulder on both sides of the carriageway. The existing 4 bridges, 1 ROB, 102 slab and hume pipe culverts need repair, widening and strengthening or replacement. Out of 4 existing bridges, 2 bridges need widening, repairing and strengthening and 2 bridges to be replaced with new bridges as condition of existing bridges are really bad. Out of existing 102 slab and hume pipes culverts, 71 need replacement and remaining need widening, repairing and strengthening.
