Independent Consultant for Rehabilitation and Upgradation of Tambaram – Tindivanam section of NH-45, Length-92 Kms., Construction Cost – US$ 80.5 Million, Tamilnadu, India

The project consists of widening and strengthening of 2-lane roadway. The total length of the project road is 93 Km; Tambaram–Chengalpattu Section and the remaining section from Chengalpattu – Tindivanam is presently 2-lane road. The project has one major bridge on river Palar and 16 minor bridges, 3 flyovers, 4 Underpasses, 2 ROBs and 1 interchange. There are 103 culverts (74 Hume Pipe and 29 slab) in the existing 4-lane section from 28/0 km 67/0, which were retained. In the 2-lane Section from km 67/0 to Km 121/0, there are 77 culverts (35 Hume Pipe and 42 slab), which were widened to 4-lane except 2 RCC culverts, which were reconstructed. The project work involves strengthening of the existing 4-lane section and 4-laning of existing 2-lane road.
