Srinagar Bypass (Srinagar Ring Road), INDIA
MSV International Inc. is the Independent Engineer for with the development of the four-lane Srinagar Ring Road/Bypass (Phase-I) from Km 0.00 to Km 42+100 under NHDP Phase-VII in Jammu & Kashmir, a flagship connectivity initiative under the Bharatmala Pariyojana. The project has been planned as a strategic mobility corridor to divert through-traffic away from Srinagar city, addressing chronic congestion on arterial roads linking Srinagar, Budgam, Baramulla, Ganderbal and Bandipora, including the heavily burdened airport access route.
In its professional capacity, MSV International Inc. is responsible for construction supervision and technical oversight, ensuring structured execution in line with approved designs, specifications and quality standards. MSV’s role focuses on facilitating orderly project delivery through systematic monitoring, on-site guidance and adoption of modern pavement technologies. Advanced solutions such as Stress Absorbing Membrane Interlayer (SAMI) and geo-composite materials are being incorporated to enhance pavement durability and long-term performance. The construction process follows a robust methodology, including preparation of the CTB surface, application of elastomeric modified binders, controlled aggregate placement and compaction.
The new Outer Ring Road, commencing nearly 9 km beyond the existing bypass and concluding around 8.5 km from it, is designed to significantly ease urban congestion while strengthening inter-district connectivity across the Kashmir Valley. By improving traffic distribution, travel efficiency and road safety, the project is expected to play a transformative role in regional infrastructure development and contribute meaningfully to economic activity and quality of life in and around Srinagar.
