Construction Supervision and Contract Administration – Three Towns Water Supply and Sanitation Project, SIERRA LEONE

The project involves construction supervision and contract administration for integrated water supply and sanitation infrastructure in three towns in Sierra Leone. The scope covers development and upgrading of water intake systems, treatment facilities, transmission mains, distribution networks, sanitation facilities, and associated civil, mechanical, and electrical works to ensure reliable and safe water services.

MSV’s Role:
MSV is providing comprehensive supervision and contract administration services, including review of designs and drawings, monitoring construction activities, quality assurance and quality control, compliance with technical specifications, safety monitoring, certification of interim payments, management of variations, and coordination among contractors, utilities, and stakeholders. MSV also ensures adherence to environmental and social safeguards in line with international funding agency requirements.

Project Impact & Importance:
The project significantly improves access to safe drinking water and sanitation services in the selected towns, contributing to better public health, reduced waterborne diseases, and improved quality of life. By strengthening urban water infrastructure and institutional capacity, the project supports sustainable service delivery, climate resilience, and long-term socio-economic development in Sierra Leone.
