Project Description
The project involves consultancy services for review of design, construction supervision, and management of works contracts for upgrading two critical road sections in the Geita Region, aimed at improving connectivity, safety, and transport efficiency. Total Length of the project is 41.05 km

a. Nyikonga Bridge – Kashelo Junction – Ilolangulu: 25.48 km
b. Ushirombo (Kilimahewa) – Nanda: 15.57 km

MSV’s Role
MSV is engaged as the Supervision and Contract Management Consultant, responsible for ensuring that design reviews and construction activities are executed in full compliance with project requirements, FIDIC conditions, and World Bank guidelines.

Scope of Services

  • Review and validation of detailed engineering designs
  • Construction supervision and quality assurance
  • Contract administration under FIDIC conditions
  • Progress monitoring, cost control, and reporting
  • Environmental, social, health, and safety (ESHS) compliance
  • Coordination with TANROADS, contractors, and stakeholders

Project Importance and Impact
The upgraded road sections enhance regional and inter-district connectivity, improve road safety, reduce travel time, and support economic activities in the mining and agricultural areas of Geita Region.
